A day at sea on a sailing boat between Lisbon and Cascais
A day at sea on a sailing boat between Lisbon and Cascais offers an excellent opportunity to appreciate Portugal’s beautiful coastline and experience the thrill of sailing.
While sailing along the coast of Lisbon, admire the city’s iconic landmarks such as the 25 de Abril Bridge, the statue of Christ the King, the Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries.
Lisbon’s urban landscape gradually gives way to a more natural and wild coastline, with beaches, the Bugio lighthouse in the middle of the river and the São Julião fort, and you can observe local fishermen in small boats.
As the boat moves towards Cascais, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the coastal landscape, with its rocks and interesting geological formations.
Upon arrival in Cascais, you will be welcomed by the charming coastal town with its colorful houses and cobblestone streets. Cascais is known for its beautiful beaches, such as Praia da Ribeira and Praia da Rainha.
We can anchor in the bay or dock at the Marina to explore the village, have lunch and enjoy an ice cream in one of the picturesque ice cream parlors.
If we anchor, we take the opportunity to have lunch and relax on board. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the ocean. The water is inviting and swimming in the open ocean is an invigorating experience.
After a day filled with memorable experiences, it is time to return to Lisbon. Embark again for a relaxing journey back, enjoying the fading daylight and reflecting on the beauty of the sea and coastline.
