Garbage

Location

The bins are in the parking lot at the back of the building.

• The bins with gray lids are for unsorted household waste.
• The bins with yellow lids are for plastic, styrofoam and packaging.
• The bins with blue lids are for paper and cardboard packaging (without fat).

The bins are there to avoid smells in the back apartments during the summer.

There is no door-to-door collection of glass in the city of Lisbon, so glass must be placed in the bin across the street.

Waste collection days

The days on which waste is collected by the Parish Council are as follows:

• Plastics – Monday and Friday
• Paper – Wednesday
• Household – Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

On these days, the bins are placed in front of the building’s front door from 7pm, emptied during the night and collected in the morning.

In our case, we only put the bins outside when they are full

Access

Access to the parking lot is via the corridor next to the elevators.

If you don’t have a key to this door, don’t close it while you’re depositing your garbage, otherwise you could get stuck in the courtyard

Don’t leave it open when you get back to the apartment. The area is safe, but we don’t want any unwanted visitors.
