The Alcântara dock is located behind the Museu do Oriente and the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga. It’s a quiet and safe area, completely fenced off and only accessible by card. In the event of bad weather, it is the most sheltered dock in Lisbon, as it is surrounded by tall buildings.

This riverside area, which stretches from the centre of Cais do Sodré to the Alcântara area of Lisbon, is home to several national and international restaurants, bars, terraces and other services, as well as the river dock, which is usually frequented by a wide variety of boats.

Once an industrial space that fell into disuse and abandonment, the area has been redeveloped and has become one of Lisbon’s main nightlife spots, also offering services during the day that allow you to enjoy this riverside area of great beauty and tranquillity, fulfilling the aim of bringing the riverside area closer to a city that for many years had its back turned to its river. Sometimes a bar in the neighbourhood throws parties with loud music until the early hours of the morning.

The boat is not a boat during the day and a flat at night, it moves with the wind and the water, the cables hit the masts with the wind, the ships enter and leave the harbour at night.
