From the Fado Museum to the apartment

The Fado Museum is an excellent reference both for Taxis and Ubers

In front of the museum there is this square with one of the old fountains that supplied Lisbon with water. To the right, there is a very narrow street.

Follow this narrow street to the end.

When you reach the end turn left

After turning left, continue straight ahead for about 100 meters

When you see the black sign “Beco da Formosa” turn right

Follow this street for about 15 meters until you see on your right the building

Access to the apartment is through the side façade

The door is number 12. On the right side is the keypad for access with the code you have been given

Your apartment has the number 1

Arrival with car

Parking in the city center is difficult and expensive so we do not recommend renting a car to visit the city. Most of the historic center is closed to car traffic, so it will be of little use.

If you need to rent a car to continue your trip in Portugal, it is preferable to rent one at the end of your stay.

The recommended parking lots are as follows:

Santa Apolónia

The cheapest park for daily stays is Parque de Santa Apolónia, near Alfama. Each hour costs 1.20 euros, but the maximum daily rate is 8 euros.

Cruise Ship Terminal

Another park slightly closer to the center, is the Parque do Terminal de Cruzeiros near Alfama. Each hour costs 1.90 euros, but the maximum daily rate is 12 euros.
