Trip Lisbon Portimão on the sailboat Pede Vento
December 2021This trip was to take the boat to Portimão where the mast was to be replaced.
As I couldn’t get bad weather not to force the mast, the date was chosen to make the trip between the passage of two fronts of low pressure. It is a time without winds and waves, which forces the trip to be made with the motor, but I didn’t want to take any risks with the mast.
And as you can see from the photos, it was one of the calmest trips we made on the way to the Algarve.
Of course, beer consumption was higher than usual (as you can see in the photos) and we almost ran out of beer or wine on board.
And for the first time since I have been sailing my boat, we cooked on board and ate with a knife and fork.
I mean, there was another bad memory attempt at eating with a knife and fork. When you get on the Pede Vento, look at the port side couch, and if you look closely, you can see the remains of some stains. The next one who brings me spirit cod on board, goes overboard. Him, not the codfish
